Don’t Let Insurance Companies Control Your Outcome

After an accident, insurance companies are already working against you. They offer low settlements, delay your personal injury claim, and pressure you to sign away your rights. At My Injury Pros, we step in to protect you. Our personal injury lawyers take on the insurance company so you are not pushed around or underpaid.

Expert insight: In many injury claims, early settlement offers can be risky if treatment isn’t finished, because the long-term impact and future care needs may not be clear yet. Especially before medical treatment is complete or long-term impacts are known.

We identify the liable party in every case to determine responsibility for your injuries. We will walk you through each step, from filing the claim to its resolution. With experience in investigations, evidence gathering, and negotiations, we work to secure the compensation you deserve.

How We Protect Your Case:

We Handle Everything for You

You won’t have to speak with adjusters, track paperwork, or chase updates. Our legal team handles it all—including tracking other expenses related to your injury—so you can focus on recovery. We also document and manage all evidence related to your injuries and damages, including medical expenses and lost wages.

We Push for Full and Fair Compensation

Insurance companies don’t pay what’s fair without a fight. We build strong cases using real evidence to go after the full amount you are owed, including compensation for emotional distress and mental anguish. Economic damages in personal injury cases compensate for financial losses, while non-economic damages, such as emotional distress and mental anguish, compensate for abstract losses.

We Act Fast to Protect Your Rights

From the moment you are injured, time matters. We take immediate steps to preserve evidence and secure your claim.

We Fight to Recover Every Dollar

We pursue everything your case is worth, including medical bills, lost wages, long-term care, and other economic damages. Personal injury claims can include economic damages, non-economic damages, and punitive damages. We will pursue punitive damages when warranted. These damages may be awarded to punish egregious conduct and are not common unless the behavior was especially severe.

In Li v. Yellow Cab Co. (California Supreme Court), the court adopted comparative negligence, meaning a person’s compensation can be reduced by their share of fault. In practice, that’s why small details (like timing of treatment, documentation, and how liability is argued) can materially change case value.

They have legal teams working to pay you less. You deserve a personal injury lawyer who will fight to win.

Your Case Deserves a Strategy Built to Win

No two accidents are the same, and generic legal help is not enough. At My Injury Pros, we build each personal injury case with focused strategy, urgency, and precision. If the insurance company won’t offer fair compensation, we can discuss filing a lawsuit. We also help clients navigate California’s shared fault rules and strict deadlines. From day one, we take control and apply pressure before the other side has a chance to push back.

The Real Cost of Waiting After an Injury

After an accident, insurance companies act fast, and not for your benefit. The longer you wait to take legal action, the harder it becomes to win a strong personal injury lawsuit. Critical evidence disappears. Time-sensitive laws expire. And lowball offers start to look more reasonable than they are.

At My Injury Pros, we take fast, strategic action to protect your case. Our personal injury attorneys understand personal injury law inside and out—and we don’t let delay cost you your future.

Why Waiting Can Cost You After an Injury

When you are injured in an accident, time is not on your side. While you focus on recovery, insurance companies are already working to protect their interests. The longer you wait to take legal action, the harder it becomes to build a strong personal injury claim. Delays can lead to lost evidence, missed deadlines, and pressure to accept a low settlement.

At My Injury Pros, we act fast. Our personal injury lawyers step in immediately to investigate your case, protect your rights, and apply pressure before the other side gains the upper hand.

Evidence Fades Quickly

Photos, witness accounts, and official reports lose value over time. Waiting makes it harder to prove liability and damages.

Insurance Companies Move First

They waste no time building a defense. We step in early to protect your claim and fight for your best outcome.

Delays Create Financial Pressure

Medical bills, lost wages, and ongoing care costs add up fast. We work to recover full compensation before those costs become overwhelming.

Missed Deadlines Can End Your Case

California’s statute of limitations is strict. If you wait too long to file a personal injury claim, you may lose your right to any recovery.

Waiting helps them. Acting now helps you. Talk with a personal injury attorney today and take control of your next step.

Is Hiring a Personal Injury Lawyer Always the Right Choice?

Not every accident requires legal representation. In some cases involving minor injuries, minimal medical treatment, and clear liability, individuals may choose to handle a claim directly with the insurance company.  This approach may appear faster and avoids incurring attorney fees.

However, managing a claim independently entails certain trade-offs. Insurance companies often minimize payouts, and once a settlement is accepted, you typically give up the right to seek additional compensation later. Hiring a personal injury lawyer may involve longer timelines if litigation becomes necessary, and fees apply if compensation is recovered.  A free consultation will enable you to weigh these pros and cons and determine the most sensible approach for your situation.

Frequently Asked Questions

To the City Clerk. Government Code section 915 says a claim against a local public entity is presented by delivering it to the clerk, secretary or auditor, by mailing it to that officer or to the governing body at its principal office, or electronically where an ordinance or resolution expressly authorizes that. Modesto's own claim form directs it to the City Clerk, City of Modesto, P.O. Box 642, Modesto, CA 95353, and Risk Management investigates from there. Government Code section 911.2 sets the deadline at six months after the cause of action accrues for death or injury to a person, and one year for other causes of action. Mail it with proof of delivery and keep a copy, because the presentation date is what gets argued.
Four elements, under Government Code section 835. The property was in a dangerous condition when the injury happened. The condition proximately caused the injury. The risk of that kind of injury was reasonably foreseeable. And either a city employee created the condition through an act or omission within the scope of employment, or the entity had notice in time to protect against it. Section 830 defines a dangerous condition as one creating a substantial risk of injury, as distinguished from a minor, trivial or insignificant one, when the property is used with due care in a reasonably foreseeable manner. Section 835.2 divides notice into actual and constructive, and constructive notice turns on how long the defect existed, how obvious it was, and whether the inspection system was reasonably adequate. Photograph the defect with something for scale, dated.
Stanislaus County hears civil matters at the City Towers Courthouse, 801 10th Street in Modesto, with the civil division on the fourth floor. That is a different building from the Main Courthouse on 11th Street, and the court routes small claims and unlawful detainer to its Turlock location rather than Modesto. The dollar line itself comes from Code of Civil Procedure section 85, which treats an action as a limited civil case only where the amount in controversy is $35,000 or less, excluding attorney fees, interest and costs, and where the relief sought fits a permitted category. Section 86 lists those categories, beginning with a demand of $35,000 or less. Over that figure, the case is unlimited civil.
Because section 395 of the Code of Civil Procedure gives an injury plaintiff a second option. The general rule puts the proper court in the county where a defendant resides when the action is commenced. But for an action for injury to person or personal property, or for death from wrongful act or negligence, the county where the injury occurred is also a proper court. A crash on a Modesto street can therefore be filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus, with civil filings going to the City Towers Courthouse at 801 10th Street, even when the at-fault driver lives elsewhere. Filing where it happened keeps the responding officers, the witnesses and the treating providers in one county. The court retains its power to transfer.
Civil Code section 3342 makes the dog's owner liable for damages to a person bitten in a public place or while lawfully on private property, including the owner's own property, regardless of the dog's former viciousness or the owner's knowledge of it. Lawfully present covers anyone there by the owner's invitation, express or implied, and anyone performing a duty imposed by state law or by postal regulations. The section carves out a government agency's dog used in military or police work in the circumstances it lists, and only where that agency has adopted a written policy covering that use. If a public employee was the handler, Government Code section 911.2 puts a six-month claim presentation step first, through the City Clerk for a City of Modesto claim.
Labor Code section 3600 fixes liability for compensation on the employer, without regard to negligence, for an injury arising out of and in the course of employment, provided the conditions it lists all apply. Section 3602 then makes that the sole and exclusive remedy against the employer, and says a dual capacity between the parties does not open a second door. The exceptions in section 3602 are narrow: a willful physical assault by the employer, fraudulent concealment that aggravated the injury, and a defective product the employer made and transferred to an independent third person. What usually remains is the third party. Another driver, an equipment manufacturer, a site owner, a separate contractor. That claim runs in the Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus.
Code of Civil Procedure section 377.60 names them. The surviving spouse, domestic partner, children, and the issue of deceased children, or, where no issue survives, the people who would take the decedent's property by intestate succession. The decedent's personal representative may assert the claim on their behalf. The section also reaches a putative spouse, that spouse's children, stepchildren, parents, or the legal guardians where the parents have died, if they were dependent on the decedent, and a minor who lived in the household for the 180 days before the death and depended on the decedent for half or more of their support. Section 377.61 leaves the court to determine the respective rights of those entitled. The action is filed in the Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus.
Conditions do. Vehicle Code section 22350 measures speed against what is reasonable and prudent given the weather, the visibility, the traffic, and the surface and width of the road, and forbids any speed that endangers the safety of persons or property. Fog, low sun in a driver's eyes, a slick surface after the first rain: each can make a lawful number unlawful on that stretch at that hour. Then Evidence Code section 669 takes over. Show the violation, show it proximately caused the injury, show the injury is the type the rule guards against and the person is one the rule protects, and the law presumes a failure to use due care unless the driver rebuts it. The Modesto Police Department investigates collisions inside the city.
Civil Code section 2338 makes a principal responsible to third persons for the negligence of its agent in the transaction of the business of the agency, including wrongful acts committed as part of that business, and for the agent's willful omission to fulfill the principal's obligations. So the live question is not who holds title to the vehicle. It is whether the driver was transacting the employer's business when it happened. Civil Code section 1714 supplies the underlying duty: everyone is responsible for an injury occasioned to another by want of ordinary care in the management of their property or person. Delivery runs, service vans and trucks moving between yards and job sites raise this constantly. Ask for dispatch logs and route assignments before they age out.
Most personal injury cases settle out of court because trials are expensive, time-consuming, and risky for both sides. Insurance companies often prefer settlement once strong evidence is presented. A seasoned law office will prepare your case for trial but work to resolve it efficiently while still pursuing maximum compensation.
